"Trail of the Cedars" Nature Walk
This self guided nature trail near the Skagit Information Center in Newhalem is a just over a quarter mile long, and starts on a bridge crossing the Skagit River. A wide variety of native plants and wildlife can be found along this family-friendly gravel path.
Begins at suspension bridge in Newhalem or from the Newhalem Creek Powerhouse at the end of the service road beyond Loop C in Newhalem Creek Campground. This easy 0.3 mile (0.5 km) gravel loop meanders along the banks of the Skagit River through stands of old growth forest.
No parking or trail permits needed.
