Black Pine Lake Trail

Black Pine Lake in Fall
Muskrat at Black Pine Lake
Black Pine Lake in Fall
Muskrat at Black Pine Lake

A barrier free, fully accessible, forested, easy, wide, mostly level, paved trail along the lakeshore. Trail begins by the boat launch. Benches provide resting areas with interpretive signs along the way. This trail offers great mountain views, wildlife watching, fishing, and swimming.

Directions:

From Twisp, drive west on Twisp River Road (county road 9114 ) for about 10 miles, turn left onto Forest Service Road 43, crossing Buttermilk Bridge across Twisp River, stay to the left and following the forest road 43 for about 8 miles, to campground on the north end of the lake. After entering the campground the trailhead is located in the day use area. Note: This is the best route to campground from Twisp River Road (County Road #9114) as the Poorman Creek route is very, very narrow, and not recommended for trailers.
