Spring is a magical time to visit the Cascade Loop! Snow melts in the higher elevations sending runoff into adjacent streams and rivers. Hillsides green up and give way to riots of spring flowers. Speaking of spring flowers-- don't miss the blankets of flowers emerging in the Skagit Valley at this time of year! Daffodils and tulips are prolific March-April, but remember--Mother Nature dictates when they wake and when they retire. The North Cascades Highway also opens during mid-spring, depending on weather again so keep checking in! The great American road trip is alive and well on Washington's Cascade Loop Scenic Highway.
